PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter for a vehicle which is mounted to the vehicle, displays a display section 6 on a dial plate 4 disposed behind an indicator 3 by an indication of the indicator 3, irradiates the dial plate 4 from the front and the back, and provides a stereoscopic effect to the dial plate 4 by the irradiation from the front and the back. SOLUTION: A mirror layer 9 is provided on the back side on a transparent substrate 5 of the dial plate 4. A light of a first light source 11 from the back side of the mirror layer 9 passes through a slit scale 6a provided in the mirror layer 9 so as to visually recognize the scale 6a. A light of a second light source 12 from the front side of the substrate 5 passes through a metallic transmission layer 71 and irradiates the slit scale 6a.
