<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high load transmission belt having a long service life, which reduces frictional resistance of a block and a pulley when the block gets in the pulley or gets out of the pulley when running the belt while being wrapped around the pulley, hardly generates block rocking to a center belt, and reduces problems including generation of vibration, noise and heat caused by friction of the block and the pulley and by rocking of the block. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The high load transmission belt, which consists of an upper beam 11, a lower beam 12 and a block 2 having a groove for inserting the center belt 3 surrounded by a pillar 13, is provided with a projection 8 so as to make obtuse the angles of an edge 7 at a side upper end of the upper beam 11 and an edge 7 at a side lower end of the lower beam 12.
