<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time of a congestion state of a data signal in a radio communication system having a collision avoidance function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This radio terminal device includes: a radio transmitting part 26 and a radio receiving part 27 which communicate with a radio repeater; and a control part which computes back off time after elapse of a DIFS, computes the back off time again when the data signal is transmitted after elapse of the computed back off time concerned in the case where the DIFS elapses without receiving an ACK signal from the radio repeater, decreases an amount of data of the data signal, and retransmits the data signal after elapse of the recomputed back off time after the DIFS has elapsed.
