<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein proper inventory management is difficult to carry out by restraining an error in inventory subtraction processing for a consumable, in the inventory management for the consumable in an image forming apparatus capable of executing printing processing different in a consumption amount of a recording agent (toner, ink or the like) of the consumable by an output pattern. <P>SOLUTION: A consumable inventory subtraction processing part 503 of a management device 102 calculates a counter used in the determination of inventory subtraction for the consumable, based on values of the counters 50-52 included in a residual amount notification obtained from the image forming apparatus 101 (S1103), determines whether a difference between the determining counter calculated by receiving the residual amount notification in the past, and a determining counter calculated by receiving a new residual amount notification is a specified value or more (S1104), and executes the inventory subtraction processing for the consumable, when the difference is determined to be the specified value or more (S1105). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
