<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat reversible recording medium with high sensitivity and excellent repeated durability, and an image processing method using this heat reversible recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: This heat reversible recording medium is composed of a support and, on the support, at least a first heat reversible recording layer, a light-heat conversion layer containing a light-heat conversion material which absorbs a light with specific wavelength and converts it to heat, and a second heat reversible recording layer, formed in this order. In addition, both the first and the second heat reversible recording layer shows a reversible change in either transparency or color tone depending on temperature. When representing the thickness of the first heat reversible recording layer as "A" and the thickness of the second heat reversible recording layer as "B", the ratio [B/(A+B)×100] of the heat reversible recording medium is 55 to 75%.
