PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan forced heater capable of preventing household goods from freezing up in a case of misfire due to running-out of a gas in a combustion operation during absence from home. SOLUTION: A combustion operation control means 32 includes a misfire determining means for determining whether a burner 5 misfires or not during the combustion operation, a timing means for determining elapse of a prescribed time, an igniting means performing igniting motion when the timing means determines the elapse of the prescribed time from a time when the misfire determining means determines misfire, an ignition determining means for determining whether the ignition is performed by the igniting means or not, and a retrying means for repeating the igniting motion by the igniting means until the ignition determining means determines the ignition, when the timing means determines the elapse of the prescribed time from the time when the ignition determining means determines that the ignition is not performed.
