PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device for automatically restoring a display even when a function corresponding to an automatically reduced display is forgotten.

SOLUTION: The electronic device 1 includes: an operation member 17a for generating different operation signals corresponding to operation positions; a display member 17 for displaying information; a display control means 20 for controlling the display member 17 so as to respectively display a plurality of displays indicating functions corresponding to the plurality of respective operation positions; a counting means 20 for counting the number of times of operating the operation member 17a for each operation position; and an instruction means 20 for instructing the display control means 20 to reduce the number of displays indicating the functions corresponding to a counted result when at least one of the operation signal generated by the operation member 17a and the prescribed elapsed time satisfies a prescribed reduction condition and restores the number of displays when the elapsed time after reducing the number of displays satisfies a prescribed first restoration condition.
