<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that facilitates efficiently encrypting information, because an encrypting area is set in advance to be encrypted, when the information is encrypted to be recorded in a recording medium, to bring the risk of encrypting also information not required to be encrypted, in the information processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A voice signal is encrypted easily and efficiently by extracting feature information by an optional voice, when encrypted, in an IC recorder, as one example of the information processing apparatus.
