<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system capable of automatically specifying a fault hardware and notifying a user when a system failure due to a hardware fault occurs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the computer system wherein a plurality of hardwares including a memory 2 and a hard disk 4 and a dump processing part 14 for generating a dump file 41 from information stored in the memory 2 and storing it in the hard disk 4 when a system failure occurs are provided and each of the plurality of hardwares has a state register for storing the state of the hardware, the computer system includes a system fault processing part 12 for acquiring register information 6 from the state register, specifying the fault hardware from the register information 6, generating fault part information 21, adding identification information 23 for specifying the position to store the fault part information 21, storing it in the memory 2, and then generating the dump file 41 by the dump processing part 14 when the system failure occurs, and retrieving the dump file 41 and reading and outputting the fault part information 21 to which the identification information is added when analyzing the system fault.
