摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new light-emitting device reducing speckle noise, and high in output. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes a first cladding layer 104, an active layer 106 formed above the first cladding layer 104, and a second cladding layer 108 formed above the active layer 106. A gain region 140 has a first reflective surface and a second reflective surface for reflecting light generated by the gain region 140 from the first end surface to the second end surface arranged on a first side surface 105 of the active layer 106. The gain region comprises: a first portion 142 extending in a direction tilted with respect to the vertical line of the first side surface 105; a second portion 144 extending in a direction tilted with respect to the vertical line of the first side surface 105; and a third portion 146 extending in a direction tilted with respect to the vertical line of the first reflective surface. A distributed Bragg reflective mirror 170 is provided to at least one of a side of the first reflective surface and a side of the second reflective surface.
