<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a synchronous motor which meets high torque and high rotation speed in a wide operation range from low speed to high speed, and ensures high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The control device of the synchronous motor comprises the synchronous motor 7 which has first three-phase coils U<SB>H</SB>, V<SB>H</SB>and W<SB>H</SB>, and second three-phase coils U<SB>L</SB>, V<SB>L</SB>and W<SB>L</SB>at a stator, first and second inverter circuits 3, 4 which individually apply AC outputs to these three-phase coils, a battery B, a main contactor 5 arranged between the battery B and the inverter circuits 3, 4, a contactor 6 arranged between the inverter circuits 3, 4, and a control part 2 which drives the synchronous motor 7 in a first drive mode which uses the AC outputs of both the first and second inverter circuits 3, 4 and in a second drive mode which uses the AC output of only the first inverter circuit 3 by controlling the main contactor 5 and the contactor 6, and controlling the outputs of the inverter circuits 3, 4 on the basis of an input external signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
