DISK BRAKE ROTOR AND RUST PREVENTIVE LIQUID USED FOR THE DISK BRAKE ROTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake rotor capable of preventing the occurrence of rust without fail and preventing brake performance from being adversely affected during brake operation and to provide a rust preventive liquid used for the disk brake rotor. SOLUTION: This disk brake rotor is characterized in forming a layer covered with the rust preventive liquid prepared by adding amine water-soluble rust-inhibitor to electrolyzed strong alkaline water on a friction face between at least a brake pad and it on a surface of the disk brake rotor. It is preferable that pH of the electrolyzed strong alkaline water to be applied to the rust preventive liquid is 13.1 or more and that amount of the amine water-soluble rust-inhibitor to be added to the rust preventive liquid is 20 wt.% or more and 50 wt.% or less.
