PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide devices, systems, and methods for suturing of body lumens for allowing the suturing of vascular puncture sites located at the distal end of a percutaneous tissue tract. SOLUTION: An elongated articulated foot 24 in the vicinity of the distal end of a shaft 12 is inserted through penetration and actuated to extend the foot 24 along the axis of lumens. The foot 24 carries suturing attachment cuffs 52. Needles 38 are advanced from the shaft through the vessel wall outside of the penetration and into engagement with the needle cuffs after the foot 24 has been drawn proximally up against the endothelial surface of the blood vessel. The suture 34 is allowed to provide a midway part 80 between a first end and a second end. The midway part 80 includes one or a plurality of pre-arranged loops, and when one end or both ends of the suture 34 passes through the midway part 80, defines a pre-tied knot.
