<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect performance abnormality. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A disk array device mounted with a plurality of disks, for controlling access performed to each disk from an upper device collects information related to performance of each DA (Device Adapter) controlling an access route to the disk, relatively compares the information collected about each DA between the DAs controlling the same access route, and detects a suspected DA suspected that the DA has the abnormality in the performance based on a result of the comparison. When the disk array device detects the suspected DA, the disk array device accumulates information of the detection about the suspected DA in a point addition form, and performs output or transmission of notification information, or exclusion or the like of the suspected DA on the condition that the number of points of the accumulated information exceeds a prescribed threshold value.
