<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data display device and method achieving linked data broadcasting by an HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) by using a BML (Broadcast Markup Language) browser and an HTML browser without changing BML and HTML specifications and a data transmission system. <P>SOLUTION: The BML browser receives an event message including timing control information of BML contents by data broadcasting, and subsequently transmits a command to the HTML browser in accordance with the timing of the event message and the BML browser controls the HTML browser.
