<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when attempting to detect generation of gas from a power storage element with a pressure sensor, it is sometimes not easy to detect the generation of gas. <P>SOLUTION: A power storage device includes a power storage element (21), cases (10, 11, 12) in which the power storage element and liquid (23) are airtightly housed, a float (30) movably arranged inside the case and filled with a substance (33) having a lower specific gravity than the liquid, and a pair of conductors (40) positioned in the upper part of the float inside the case and separately arranged.
