<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable radio apparatus and a flexible cable that keep antenna performance excellent. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The portable radio apparatus includes a first circuit portion to which an antenna 14 is connected and a second circuit portion connected to the first circuit portion through the flexible cable 13. Further, a slit is made in the flexible cable 13. Further, the slit is formed preferably so as to vary the electrostatic coupling amount between the flexible cable 13 and antenna 14.
