A Coriolis flowmeter obtains the mass flow rate and/or density of a fluid to be measured by detecting the phase difference and/or vibration frequency proportional to Coriolis force acting on at least one or a pair of flow tubes. The Coriolis flowmeter is provided with an A/D converter for converting analog signals outputted from speed sensors or acceleration sensors which serve as a pair of vibration detection sensors into digital signals, a pair of orthogonal frequency converters for frequency-converting the digital signals corresponding to the pair of vibration detection sensors, a frequency measuring instrument for measuring the frequency on the basis of either of the digital signals outputted from the pair of vibration detection sensors, and a transmitter for generating a frequency signal that is ?(1-1/N) of a digital frequency signal, wherein the phase difference is obtained by using the signals generated by the orthogonal frequency converters. |
