PURPOSE: A method for setting a background screen of a computer monitor is provided to make a wanted homepage and contents be executed and managed on a background screen when a computer is booted without using an Internet browser. CONSTITUTION: In a method for installing and executing a background screen being supplied from an Internet web site in a user computer, a user connects to the Internet web site and designates the background screen supplied in the Internet web site(S110). The user selects an execution file for executing the designated background screen in the user computer from the Internet web site(S120). The selected execution file is executed, an environment of the user computer is changed, and the selected background screen is executed on a monitor of the user computer(S130,S140).
