<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens array device and an image display device, which allow a lens effect characteristic different from that of a single variable lens array to be easily obtained. <P>SOLUTION: As a lens array device 1, a variable lens array 3 and a fixed lens array 4 which offsets the lens effect of the variable lens array 3 are provided. Thereby, the whole lens effect when combining the variable lens array 3 and the fixed lens array 4 together becomes in the off-state (the state of no refracting power) when the lens effect of the variable lens array 3 is in the on-state (the state where the prescribed refracting power occurs). Also, when the lens effect of the variable lens array 3 becomes in the off-state, the whole lens effect is in the on-state. That is, the electric ON/OFF characteristics of the lens effect of the whole lens array device 1 is in the reversed state of the characteristics of the variable lens array 3 alone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
