<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release a locked state by an operation of easy and natural feeling in a cam lock mechanism which locks the lid body of a console box in an opening state, thereby improving its operability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The console box includes: a box body 12; a lid body 20 which can make the box body in the opening state where the opening portion of the box body is opened, and in a closed state where the opening portion of the box body is closed; and the cam lock mechanism 30 which is provided between the box body 12 and the lid body 20, and functions so that the lid body is locked in the opening state. A transmission member 40 of operating physical force is provided on the side of the box body 12. The console box is configured so that the operating physical force is applied to the cam lock mechanism 30 for unlocking its locked state by means of the operation of the transmission member 40.
