<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document reading device which suppresses image data of the same document from being output in a redundant manner regardless of document set order. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A document reading device 1 has: a determining portion 37 determining whether a document set in a setting portion 29 has ever been read by an image reading portion 27; and a control portion 37 outputting image data for the document that the determining portion made an affirmative determination without redundantly outputting the image data for the document that the determining portion made a negative determination.
