A hot-water supply device comprises at least a pair of electrodes (32A, 32B), a pair of water decomposition ion exchangers (33) having a cation exchanger (33A) and an anion exchanger (33B), a flow passage (34) contacting with the water decomposition ion exchangers (33), and a water softening means (30) having an inlet part (35) and an outlet part (36) communicating with the flow passage (34), and is characterized in that warmed hot water is introduced in the water softening means (30). The hot-water supply device does not require maintenance, has a simple structure, can be reduced in size, and can soften raw water having a high hardness with low electric power consumption for regeneration of the water.
