<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst capable of producing acrylonitrile with a high yield under a condition wherein excess ammonia is reduced, when acrylonitrile is produced by the ammoxidation reaction of propylene. <P>SOLUTION: The ammoxidation catalyst for use when producing acrylonitrile by reacting propylene, molecular oxygen, and ammonia comprises: an oxide having an elemental composition represented by the general formula Mo<SB>a</SB>Bi<SB>b</SB>Ce<SB>c</SB>D<SB>d</SB>E<SB>e</SB>G<SB>g</SB>J<SB>j</SB>M<SB>m</SB>O<SB>n</SB>(1) (wherein D designates iron or iron and chromium, E designates at least one element selected from the group consisting of nickel and cobalt, G designates at least one element selected from the group consisting of magnesium, zinc and manganese, J designates at least one element selected from the group consisting of pottacium, rubidium and cesium, M designates at least one element selected from the group consisting of tungsten and antimony, a, b, c, d, e, g, j, and m each designates an atomic ratio of each element, satisfies the formulae 10.5≤(a+m)≤13.3, 0.05≤b≤1, 0.05≤c≤1, 0.3≤d≤4, 2≤e≤10, 0≤g≤6, 0.03≤j≤0.3, and 0≤m≤3, and n designates an atomic ratio of the oxygen atom satisfying atomic valences of the component elements except for oxygen), and satisfying a specific atomic ratio simultaneously from the atomic ratio of each element; and a carrier carrying the oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
