PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operating efficiency and appearance while adopting a lock device of high strength. SOLUTION: The lock device 5 capable of being switched over between a door close state and a door open state with respect to a body-side opening part, and used for a door 9B urged in an opening direction at all times has a lock member 2 engaged with and disengaged from a receiving section 55a on an opening-part side, in the door close state. The lock device 5 includes a case 1 arranged on the door to vertically movably support the lock member 2, an attraction means comprising a magnet M1 and a magnetic body 56 arranged in a manner of corresponding to the lock member and the opening part to move the lock member 2 to enable its engagement with the receiving part 55a, and control means (3 and 4) controlling the movement of the lock member 2 by the intermediary of the attraction means of the lock member 2. When the door is pushed in the closing direction from the open state against the urging force, the lock member 2 is protruded and engaged with the receiving part 55a via the control means and the attraction means, and the door is kept in the closed state. When the door is pushed further in the closing direction, the engagement is released and the disengaged state is maintained via the control means to enable switchover in the opening direction.
