<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell including a fuel reforming mechanism suitably reforming fuel by efficiently utilizing exhaust heat of a fuel cell stack. <P>SOLUTION: In this internal reform type fuel cell wherein the fuel cell stack 3 is formed by alternately stacking power generation cells and separators and housed in a housing, and a reacting gas is supplied into the fuel cell stack 3 in operation to generate a power generation reaction, one or more fuel reform mechanisms 30 are arranged in the circumference of the fuel cell stack 3 at least at over 90° in a center angle and, in the fuel reform mechanisms, the thickness of a reform catalyst layer on the upstream part of an introduced fuel gas is set smaller than that of the downstream part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
