<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which oxidative deterioration of the anode of a fuel cell when stopping the operation is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 39 includes: a fuel cell 1 which generates electric power by using hydrogen in a fuel gas supplied to an anode 1a and oxygen in an oxidant gas supplied to a cathode 1c; and a combustor 4 for burning a combustible gas. In this fuel cell system, after stopping the power generation, the cathode 1c is filled with the combustible gas and held with the gas therein and then the combustible gas is burned by the combustor 4 during the discharge of the combustible gas from the cathode 1c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
