TRANSACTION MONITORING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction monitoring device which prevents fraudulent acts made by using a remittance of a transaction terminal of automatic transaction system for the wrong purpose, without disturbing smooth money transactions between valid users of the automatic transaction system.

SOLUTION: The transaction monitoring device 1 includes: a face detection unit 22 which extracts user's face region from image data captured by a monitoring camera 130 which is installed for capturing a front image of the user facing the transaction terminal; a face direction determining unit 23 which determines from the image data whether the user is facing frontward to the monitoring camera or the user is facing crosswise direction to the monitoring camera; a hand region detection unit 24 which detects a user's hand from a searched region which varies depending on whether the user is facing frontward or crosswise direction; a determination unit 25 which determines that the user is talking on the phone if a user's hand is detected from each of sequentially captured image data during a predetermined time period; an aberrance announcing unit 12 which raises an alarm when the user is determined to be talking on the phone.
