<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of stabilizing an optical path of light passing through a prism and facilitating a bonding operation for triangular prism substrates with each other or triangular prism pair members with each other. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of forming an optical thin film 23R provided on a first adjacent side part 211 of a first triangular prism substrate 21 and a plasma-polymerized film 201 provided on a first adjacent side part 221 of a second triangular prism substrate 22, arranging the first triangular prism substrate 21 and the second triangular prism substrate 22 so as to sandwich the plasma-polymerized film 201 on a reference plane 3C, pushing second adjacent side parts 212, 222 against each other on the reference plane 3C along the same plane, forming a plasma-polymerized film 201 on an optical thin film 23B provided on at least one of the two triangular prism pair members 20, arranging the triangular prism pair members 20 so as to sandwich the plasma-polymerized film 201 therebetween on the reference plane 3C, and pushing the first adjacent side parts 211, 221 against each other on the reference plane 3C along the same plane.
