<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing technology capable of reproducing image information by acquiring subtitles information which is not recorded in a recording medium where image information is recorded and displaying the acquired subtitles. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Character code information is acquired through a network as subtitles information which is not recorded in a recording medium where image information is recorded, and font data corresponding to the character code information are displayed as subtitles.
