<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having a handle durable against a tensile load while preventing appearance from deteriorating. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A handle 43 is screwed to a body case 25 using screws 71 in a lifting direction C of a vacuum cleaner body. Handle projections 74 are formed on the handle 43 so as to be engaged with a part of the body case 25 from below in the lifting direction C of the vacuum cleaner body.
