<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically replace content with alternative content. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: a first storage means 101 for storing a plurality of scripts including content having control information showing whether to replace the content or to replace the next higher node in a tree structure and at least one child node script; an analysis means 102 for analyzing a parent node script and acquiring and further analyzing the child node script as needed; a first acquisition means 103 to acquire contents; a retrieval means 104 for retrieving the alternative contents as needed; a retrieval means 107 for retrieving an alternative child node script or an alternative parent node script as needed; a second acquisition means 105 for acquiring the retrieved alternative content; a third acquisition means 108 for acquiring the retrieved alternative script; and a change means 110 for obtaining a new script in which at least one of the acquired alternative content, alternative child node script and alternative parent node script is changed.
