<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic shovel of uncomplicated constitution facilitating maintenance of an engine in an engine room structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The engine room structure 17 is provided at a machine body, and a platform 19 is provided adjacent to the engine room structure 17. The engine room structure 17 has an engine room body 28 provided with an opening 33 at the upper part above the platform 19. A partition wall 34 projected upward from the platform 19 to block the engine room structure 17 from the platform 19 is provided along the opening 33. A part of the partition wall 34 is provided with a notch 35. A tiltable part 38 is provided corresponding to the notch 35. The tiltable part 38 is tiltable sideways toward the inside of the engine room body 28. An engine hood 36 is further provided for opening/closing the opening 33 of the engine room body 28.
