PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-layer electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of effectively suppressing reduction in charging potential, even in the case where a photosensitive layer is liable to oxidation deterioration by an activated gas, such as, ozone generated in a charging step, an image forming apparatus including such a single-layer electrophotographic photoreceptor, and to provide an image formation method. SOLUTION: The single-layer electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer on a substrate; the image forming apparatus including the same and the image formation method are also provided; and the photosensitive layer contains titanyl phthalocyanine crystals as a charge-generating agent and also contains an antioxidant and an ultraviolet absorber as additives.
