摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve reducing variation of a fuel injection amount by stabilizing behavior of a needle just after valve opening. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An annular second fuel passage S is formed between an inner surface of a nozzle body 20 and an outer surface of the needle 30, and a suck chamber 223 is formed in the nozzle body 20 for gathering fuel annularly distributed in the second fuel passage S and bringing it in communication with a nozzle 22. Surfaces (surface 321 always receiving pressure, seat surface 331, front end surface 332) of the needle 30 forming the second fuel passage S function as pressure-receiving surfaces receiving fuel pressure in a direction of separating from a seating surface 222. The surface initially increasing received-pressure (seat surface 331) among the pressure-receiving surfaces, where a received-pressure force increases just after the separation, is situated at a fuel inlet 223a in a seated state so that the surface initially increasing received-pressure is expanded to a downstream side.
