Metal foil is coated on at least one side with an adhesive dielectric plastic layer on which is coated a second metal layer, the foil then being folded zig-zag fashion, Fig. 2. Connection may be made to the metal layers at two opposing bent edges and at the longitudinal edge, Fig. 3. Contact strips comprising paper foil metallized on one side are similarly folded and inserted within the condenser folds. By inserting several such strips the condenser may be formed into several capacities, Fig. 8. The condenser may be housed in a plastic casing and held together by springs.
