METHOD FOR CLEARANCE CONTROL IN CONICAL ROLL BEARINGS

A method for clearance control in conical roller bearings includes installation of outer bearing cups in the body and fixation of inner bearing cups on the shaft by means of thrust flat washers. To provide the clearance with fixed value between the rollers and bearing cups before adjustment of bearings spacing collars are installed to the clearance between the shaft and thrust washer. Height of the spacing collars exceeds the value of minimal possible clearance between the end of the shaft and the thrust washer by value of the required axial clearance in bearings.
