<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery still camera which enables high-speed consecutive photographing, and performing high-speed consecutive photographing of images of a wide region while maintaining high definition. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic camera includes: an image sensor which can image an object and read an image in an arbitrary region of the imaged image; a speed setting operation member which sets a consecutive photographing speed; a region calculation means which calculates the largest image read region capable of reading the imaged image from the image sensor at a consecutive photographing speed set by the speed setting calculation member; and an image read means which reads the imaged image in the image read region calculated by the region calculation means at the consecutive photographing speed set by the speed setting operation member from the image sensor when consecutive photographing is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
