<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To successively use the software image of an active system computer by a standby computer in switching the active system computer to the standby computer in a computer system with a redundant computer for performing boot via a storage area network by using a software image in an SCSI protocol correspondence storage device. <P>SOLUTION: A computer system includes a plurality of computers including at least one standby computer and a management computer for controlling those computers. The management computer manages unique identification information assigned to the Ethernet controller of each computer, and sets, when a failure is occurred in the active system computer, unique identification information assigned to the Ethernet controller of the computer in which failure has occurred to the Ethernet controller of the standby computer, and the standby computer performs the boot of a software image for the computer in which the failure has occurred by using the set unique identification information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
