<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a minimum access to information managed by an application even when the application is uninstalled. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When installing or starting up the application, which uses a storage device, for trial use, an external storage device of a required size is determined and used without changing the configuration of the storage device in an apparatus. The history of the use of the external storage device by the application is stored in the external storage device, and data are moved by connecting the external storage device to the other apparatus.
