<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of an edge of eaves capable of shutting off a vent passage speedily without fail when fire occurs, forming excellent appearance, and preventing an insect from intruding into an attic. <P>SOLUTION: A vent part 7 is arranged between the edge of eaves and a roof side face in a lower part of a rain gutter member 3 with a predetermined clearance B therebetween and is provided with a front plate 7a having a plurality of vent holes 7b communicating a cavity A with the outdoor because they are opened toward the clearance B and arranged in parallel along the direction of length. An inner partitioning plate 11 is arranged by opposing to the front plate 7a with a predetermined clearance C therebetween and is provided with an opposing plate 11a having a plurality of vent holes 11b arranged in parallel along the direction of length. A fireproof foaming material 12 foaming when fire occurs and blocking the clearance C is provided in the clearance C between the front plate 7a and the opposing plate 11a.
