PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent getting the processing results against user's intention in the case of a shortage of storage capacity, in an image forming processing performed based on printing data that includes an instruction to execute a transparency processing. SOLUTION: When a shortage of memory of a RAM 17 occurs during the execution of rasterization, a control section 30 of an image processing apparatus 10 executes a forced synthetic processing with respect to a memory space (working buffer) ensured for executing a transparency processing.
