PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric equipment in which improvement of use feeling and electric power saving can be achieved by suppressing needless lightening of a light emitting part. SOLUTION: Electric equipment 10 has: equipment function part 11 achieving various functions of the electric equipment 10; a light emitting part 12 provided with a light emitting element; an illuminance sensor 13 detecting ambient illuminance; and a control part 14 controlling operation of the electric equipment 10. The control part 14 is configured such that when it is determined that ambient illuminance is smaller than the prescribed threshold value and an operation state of the electric equipment 10 satisfies the prescribed conditions, the light emitting part 12 is shifted to a second mode in which light emitting quantity is less from a first mode of default.
