The optical element affects the path of rays of the laser radiation, where the optical element is designed as an adaptive lens (120a) such as liquid lens. Active medium of the liquid lens has boiling point that is greater than about 200 degree Celsius. The adaptive optical element has an optically active surface whose minimum edge length and/or minimum diameter is greater than or equal to 5 mm.</p>
