<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pigment compound having a long light absorption wavelength and a high photoelectric conversion efficiency and a photoelectric transducer and a solar cell produced using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by general formula (1) (wherein A<SB>1</SB>denotes a CN group, a carbalkoxy group, or the like, Ar<SB>1</SB>and Ar<SB>2</SB>each denotes an arylene group or a heterocyclic group, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>each denote an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group or the like, R<SB>3</SB>-R<SB>7</SB>each denote H, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, alkoxy group, an aryl group, an alkenyl group, or the like, X denotes an organic residue having an acid group, and n and m each denotes an integer of 0 or larger).
