PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively replace a battery in a system and method for replacing the battery which are used to replace the battery installed on a vehicle such as an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle 1 transmits the information about the battery 13 via an electric communication line in response to a request of replacing the battery 13. A server 2 specifies the portion where the battery 13 is replaced based on the transmitted information, and notifies a server 3 of a battery replacement station to replace the specified replacement portion. Thus, in replacing the battery 13, only a portion required to be replaced is replaced at the battery replacement station, so that the battery 13 can be inexpensively replaced.
