PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant compressor which uses an R600a refrigerant, and into which a refrigerator machine oil excellent in lubricity, reducing abrasion loss of a sliding part, and having high thermal stability is sealed, and to provide a refrigerating cycle using the refrigerant compressor. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the refrigerant compressor which has an electromotion mechanism part and a compression mechanism part coupled to the electromotion mechanism part via a rotating shaft and compressing the refrigerant contained in a closed vessel to store the refrigerator machine oil, wherein the refrigerant is R600a, and the refrigerator machine oil contains a polyol ester as a base oil, and a compound prepared by esterifying a portion of glycerin via a reaction with a fatty acid as an oily agent.
