<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring mass unbalance of a gimbal including a means capable of accurate quantitive measurement even when a tether waveform is applied to a specimen gimbal without being affected by noise components by servo operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method for measuring mass unbalance of a gimbal is performed by a measuring device including a rotating table mounted with a seaker having a gimbal. The angle of the gimbal to the shaft of the seaker is directed to a certain angle direction with a tether oscillatory waveform superimposed, and a gimbal driving torque command value which can be acquired by rotating the rotating table is acquired and analyzed by Fourier series analysis.
