<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart image strength without image destruction when fixing, and further to effectively prevent fixing unevenness caused by cockling from occurring. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An inkjet recording apparatus 10 includes a process liquid applying part 14 for applying process liquid onto a recoding medium 24, an image drawing part 16 for forming an image on the recording medium 24 by striking droplets of ink on the recording medium 24 on which the process liquid have applied, and after-processing parts 18, 20 for carrying out dry processing of the image formed on the recording medium 24 and fixation processing by a heating and pressing member 88 while holding and rotationally conveying the recording medium 24 on a rotating conveyance bodies 76, 84 in such a manner that the recording medium 24 is warped with the recorded face on the convex side, wherein the rotating conveyance bodies 76, 84 has a surface temperature of not lower than 50°C and a curvature of 0.002 to 0.0033 (1/mm).
