PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for white side walls, which ensures good moldability and a low hysteresis loss property and simultaneously has an improved ozone-resistant performance and an improved anti-ageing performance. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for the white sidewalls is characterized by comprising 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component containing 5 to 60 wt.% of at least one rubber selected from a butyl rubber, a halogenated butyl rubber, an ethylene-propylene rubber, and an ethylene-propylene-diene rubber, 10 to 100 pts.wt. of a white inorganic filler, and 0.01 to 5 pts.wt. of a catechin-containing tea extract.
